The age old question at Christmas always is: Why do I get for those people that are acquaintances? They're not really close enough to get a big gift, but if I buy ALL of my acquaintances gifts I will soon run out of money. For cheap Christmas gifts why not try baking cookies. Simply take any cookie recipe, Chocolate Chip, is a personal favorite, bake, remove from oven, cool, and wrap in individual cellophane parcels, making the perfect gift for any acquaintance. the list could include rickshaw wallas, doucan wallas, beauty shop girls....the list is endless.

Lesson one: Decorating the Christmas Tree


As Northern Livers know there are many things that contribute to Christmas Spirit. One of these is the Christmas Tree. A correctly decorated Christmas tree MUST include a Star, or some ornament or other at the top. When lacking said ornament one can easily cut out of paper, cardboard, wood etc and duct tape to the upper most branch of the tree (Shown here). Once the Star is in place and the other decorations are in place, the tree is ready to start radiating it's Christmas Spirit.
